Butler Street Offices

The Project consists of construction of a 2 back to back 3 storey offices, each comprising a flexible ground floor with parking and loading provision (and associated construction of a crossover), 2 floors of general office and a roof deck. Some car parking is provided, but partial dispensation of car parking also falls under the application.

The proposed development provides generous and identifiable frontages and light orientated office spaces. It is a proposition is one that considers, acknowledges and references its neighbourhood character. The response is a modest, robust and highly considered architectural outcome. It recognises the requirement for quality building and respects the local context both environmentally and socially. The proposal offers opportunity for a strong local precedent and implies an iconic nature, important in this business orientated area. It is imagined as a catalyst for future development of under-utilised land within the local context, insofar that it is flexibly and efficiently planned and delivered with care and awareness for its immediate surrounds .
